S-127 Pump Station Operation and Control Center Hardening
Description of Work: Structural improvements were made to the exterior walls of the pumping station so that the structure can better withstand hurricanes and other extreme events.
Work Scope: Rebar dowels were anchored into the recessed block portions of the wall before all block cells were filled with concrete. Next a rebar mat was tied to these dowels to provide reinforcement for the 4-5 inches thick shotcrete that was placed and finished flush with the surrounding column and beam surfaces.
