Concrete Spall Repair at UF Architecture Building
Description of Work: Inducon Corporation coordinated with the building administration and worked nights and weekend when necessary to repair spalled concrete deck on four concourse levels. This ensured minimal disruption to classes and student project work schedules.
These repairs were performed by saw cutting perimeters and chipping out areas to isolate corroded rebar. Rebar was then blasted to a white steel finish and coated with a rust inhibitor. Next a coat of bonding agent was applied to the entire repair area including second coat on rebar. Finally the area was patched and finished to match existing lines and grades and cured.
