Description of Work: A USDA Grant to upgrade the aeration system and seal leaking joints in the precast concrete structure. Our work included 22 full height leaking precast section joints and two leaking pipe penetrations. Joints were prepared by striping, grinding and pressure washing to insure a good bonding surface. Permeable tubing was installed and grouted with repair mortar then injected with hydrophobic water activated urethane to provide a durable pressurized “gasket” inside the joints. All repaired joints received urethane joint sealant to finish the repair.
