Wildwood Condominiums Package WWTP Rehabilitation
Description of Work: This small wastewater treatment plant could not be taken out of service. Thus, it required careful planning and around the clock management and execution.
After installing a soil dewatering system for the area, individual tanks were bypassed, repaired and stabilized from further settling. Placement and compaction of new fill, in addition to injection of soil stabilization grout (permeation grouting) completed the tanks exterior restoration. Interior wall joints and pipe penetrations were then sealed and reinforced with composite epoxy mortar. Next roof slabs were leveled and sealed to the top of the tank walls before tank interiors were coated with a high build epoxy coating.
Final steps included replacement piping, new aeration air lines and blower building improvements.
